Our Mission
The American Medical Student Association (AMSA) is committed to improving health care and health care delivery to all people; promoting active improvement in medical education; involving its members in the social, moral, and ethical obligations of the profession of medicine; assisting in the improvement and understanding of world health problems; contributing to the welfare of medical students, premedical students, interns, residents and post-MD/DO trainees; and advancing the profession of medicine.

Services Provided
AMSA gives students opportunities to get involved in community service, healthcare advocacy, and medical education outside of the classroom. We host events that help students learn more about medicine, connect with healthcare professionals, and engage with the community. Our philanthropic efforts can include volunteer events, community outreach projects, health education initiatives, and fundraising activities that support local organizations and underserved populations. AMSA gives students opportunities to get involved in:
- Medical education
- Healthcare advocacy
- Community service
- Professional development outside of the classroom.
We also participate in volunteer events, community health outreach, fundraising efforts, and other service projects that support local and underserved communities.
