Our Mission
AMMSA is established for the expressed purpose of providing a spiritually focused community for medical students to uplift themselves and their community. As such, AMMSA will mentor future physicians, give back to surrounding communities, and work on inner growth. AMMSA understands and is committed to fulfilling its responsibilities of abiding by the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine policies and procedures.

The American Muslim Medical Student Association (AMMSA) supports medical students through mentorship, professional development, wellness initiatives, and community service. The organization promotes cultural competency, diversity, and patient-centered care while fostering connections between students and healthcare professionals. Philanthropic activities may include community health fairs, volunteer work at free clinics, health education initiatives, fundraising for humanitarian causes, and service projects benefiting underserved populations.
