Our Mission

The Heritage College Pediatrics Club provides additional education in pediatrics to medical students and promotes pediatric health in the community. Members participate in lunch lectures presented by residency directors and pediatricians in various subspecialties to learn more about going into pediatrics as a career.

Services Provided

The Pediatrics Club organizes Trunk-or-Treat every October, where medical students decorate their trunks and provide candy to the children of Warrensville Heights. This provides a safe and fun environment for kids to be able to come and enjoy trick-or-treating, games and other Halloween activities. This event is very successful, and the mayor has even attended the past few years. We love to give back to the community our campus calls home.

Medical students donated their time to making blankets for Project Linus. This program provides handmade blankets to children who are seriously ill, traumatized or otherwise in need of a sense of warmth. The medical students have truly enjoyed giving a sense of comfort to children in need through Project Linus.

Additionally, in the 2019-2020 school year, the Pediatrics Club learned additional information about safe sleep in infants due to a large incidence of SIDS in the Greater Cleveland area and provided multiple meals to the Ronald McDonald House, thanks to multiple fundraising activities.
