Our Mission

To educate both our student and community populations on the therapeutic use of an active lifestyle; whole-food, plant-based diet; and other non-drug modalities to prevent, reverse and treat chronic disease.

The Heritage College Lifestyle Medicine Club is a student chapter of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. As such, our constitution will mirror that of the college to promote and cultivate a national community of dedicated trainee leaders, who strive to promote health, treat disease and innovate the practice of health care.

Services Provided

We currently help to maintain the school garden, which we hope will serve patients of Warrensville Heights in the future. In addition, members of our club volunteer at healthy cooking classes held on a monthly basis at The Gathering Place, a nonprofit organization for patients affected by cancer.

Tentative Schedule for 2020-2021

We plan to host several lunchtime lectures in which leaders in the field of Lifestyle Medicine, as well as related disciplines, will present short lectures in their respective areas of expertise. Furthermore, Dr. David Drozek has offered to share his knowledge of Lifestyle Medicine, perhaps via weekly meetings for interested members. He will utilize some of the material that he is working to incorporate into the newly developing Lifestyle Medicine elective that will be offered at the Heritage College in the future.
