Student Organizations Athens

Our Mission

Peds Club promotes and encourages medical students to better understand the field of pediatrics via community outreach, educational opportunities, and group discussion. We also encourage members to be actively involved in our national organization, the American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians.

Dues: $30 annually

Services Provided 

Our group offers exclusive opportunities for members to discover themselves in pediatrics. The goal of Peds Club is to immerse medical students in all things pediatrics. We host a variety of community mixers, apparel sales, and holiday festivities for OU-HCOM in Athens. Our calendar includes year-round events, fundraisers, and longitudinal volunteer opportunities.
    
    Such collaborative events include, but are not limited to: PJammin® for Kids with Cancer, Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, Athen's County Trunk or Treat, and Kids Fest. Most recently, Peds Club & Athens County School District have partnered to extend coverage of the nurses office, allowing us to serve directly as health advocates to local children and teens. We look forward to working with you!
