The OHIO Career Ready Campus provides FREE adult workforce and career development programs funded by the Aspire grant from the Ohio Department of Higher Education. Courses offered through the Aspire program are designed to provide opportunities for students to develop the knowledge and expertise needed to successfully enter the workforce, postsecondary education, and training.
Our programs include adult basic education, GED® preparation, transition to postsecondary education, industry-recognized credentials, and workforce and career readiness training. To meet the needs of our students, programs are available both in-person and online, offered at convenient locations on various days and times.

High School Equivalency (GED Preparation)
Approximately 875,000 working-age adults in Ohio do not have a high school diploma or equivalent. This is roughly 8.1% of the population aged 25 and older. Select this course if you want to improve your basic academic skills and/or prepare to take the GED®(General Educational Development) tests, also known as the Ohio High School Equivalence Diploma! If you wish to increase your earning potential or want to pursue postsecondary education, this is the right course for you. You will study reading, math, and language arts. There are also lessons in science, social studies, life skills, employability skills, and basic computer skills. We will help you gain career readiness skills that will make you successful in postsecondary education and the workforce.
Bridge Programs
Our bridge programs are your pathway to success! They are designed to help you build the skills and confidence you need for college, career training, or a new job. The programs will strengthen your foundational knowledge, improve your study habits, and refine your soft skills like communication and teamwork. You will also receive personalized support, practical learning, and career guidance to make your transition smooth and successful.
Customer Service and Sales Ready
Our Customer Service and Sales course is perfect if you are interested in, or currently working in, a customer facing role. You will master customer service and sales skills, including understanding the customer life cycle, developing effective strategies to engage with customers, and assessing their needs. You will also gain crucial workplace skills that include problem-solving, working in teams, and increasing customer satisfaction and retention. In addition to the NRF RISE Up Customer Service and Sales certification, the course will also offer workforce readiness activities that will enhance your industry preparedness.
Office Ready
Learn computer skills that are essential to most workplace environments! This course includes training in the Microsoft Suite applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Publisher, and Access. You will develop the ability to create and manage professional documents for diverse purposes and situations, and gain computer skills to support general office work. Upon completion you will earn a Microsoft Office certification and will be ready for a successful career in an office setting.
Restaurant Ready
Our Restaurant Ready program will prepare you for jobs in the hospitality industry! It is based on a curriculum from the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation and includes the ServeSafe Food Manager credential. The program will help you develop life and employability skills necessary to pursue jobs in the restaurant and foodservice industry. You will work on your soft skills like communication and teamwork, and you will learn about customer service and basic kitchen skills. This course will include workforce preparation activities so that you are ready for joining the workforce.
