This grant supports Dr. Wenyang Gao's research leveraging solid-state mechanochemical synthesis to access metal-organic frameworks, an important class of functional porous materials critical for energy-sustainability.
The students worked with partner organizations across the region including Athens County Public Libraries, Ohio University Mahn Center for Archives and Special Collections, Mount Zion Black Cultural Center, The Southeast Ohio History Center, Tablertown People of Color Museum and Invisible Ground.
