Campus Area Transit Service (CATS)
CATS is a free shuttle service that is in place for your convenience. There are a variety of bus stops on the Athens campus that include areas on the outer limits of campus such as the Ridges, Innovation Center, and South Green parking lots.
Extended service hours are now available beginning Fall 2014 with services through 2:00am Monday through Friday.
All shuttles are wheelchair accessible.
An express shuttle is available that services the West Union Office Center (WUSOC) every 10 minutes and drops off at Grover Center and Baker Center. This is a quick and convenient way to get to central campus, or simply visit the downtown area.
Each bus is equipped with a tracking device that allows you to view the bus in live time.Transportation Services is now utilizing the DoubleMap App that displays all buses and their routes for your convenience.
Fall and Spring Semester Hours of Operation:
7:00am to 5:20pm, Monday through Friday.
The Late Night Loop is in operation from 5:30pm to 2:00am. CATS is not in operation during university holidays and weekends.

During the event of inclement weather CATS will not be in service under a level 3 snow advisory. Transportation Services reserves the right to delay or cancel services under a level 2 snow advisory for the safety of passengers and employees.
Ohio University Campus Area Transit Service, or CATS, provides transportation for University students, faculty, staff, and visitors throughout campus. Best of all, it's FREE! No pass or ID is needed to ride. Just look for one of our many bus stop signs around campus and hop on a CATS shuttle. It's that easy!
