CATS Late Night Service

CATS late night now offers texting services to phone number 740-593-4040

CATS Late Night is a FREE service offered to the faculty/staff and students of Ohio University.

The late night service times are temporarily offered Monday through Friday between the hours of 5:30PM EST and 3:00AM EST and Saturday between the hours of 10:00PM EST and 3:00AM EST.

CATS Late Night provides a safe means of transportation across the Ohio University Athens campus in a state vehicle. This can be identified by State of Ohio license plates as well as CATS/CATCAB markings on the outside of the vehicle. This vehicle is clearly marked with information and is easily distinguished as a safe means of transportation at night.

The CATS Late Night service is temporarily available to transport you from a University location to your residence within a 2 mile driving distance from the center of campus (1 Park Place, Athens Ohio 45701).

Riders are urged to use the DoubleMap app on their smart phones, tablets, or computers. This allows the rider to view where the driver is in live time. The rider can be waiting inside of a building until the driver arrives for increased safety. This site can be accessed online at https://cats.doublemap.com/map/ and in the app store.

CATS Late Night services are not available during university breaks and holidays when classes are not in session.

The CATS shuttle bus is wheelchair accessible and able to make accommodations.
You are able to request rides during the services hours by calling 740-593-4040.
You will be asked to provide your Ohio University credentials along with your pick-up and drop-off location.

Please feel free to contact the Transportation office on campus with any questions or concerns at 740-593-1611.
