As the season draws closer, we want to make sure fans can plan appropriately for their trips to Peden Stadium. Parking Lots will open at 10AM and no overnight parking is allowed. Please see applicable information regarding your parking and tailgating plan below.

Tailgating Information

As you prepare for gameday, we would like to remind you of a few tailgating policies from the University and State of Ohio.

• Tailgating activities are not permitted within parking spaces or vehicle spaces or vehicle drive isles. Tailgating may be set up in available grass areas adjacent to your parking spot. No charcoal grills.
• Guests are asked to clean up their tailgating areas before departure and utilize trash receptacles.
• Possession and consumption of alcohol are subject to the laws and regulations of the State of Ohio and/or City of Athens which state, among others: "No person shall have in the person's possession an open container of beer or intoxicating liquor in any public space. Law Enforcement Officers enforce all applicable laws. Complete State of Ohio laws regarding open containers can be found by clicking the link.
• Pop Up Tent Guidance:
  • Follow manufacturer guidelines and weighted leg requirements
  • In the event of sustained winds over 20mph tents must be removed
  • Pop up tents cannot be set up in drive aisles, access areas, or designated parking spaces
  • Pop up tents cannot be left unattended

Green/Green VIP Lot

Parking in the Green Lot is by Green Lot pass only. Passes are assigned for the full season, and the lot is accessible from Richland Avenue.

US 33 W/US 50 E/ OH 32 E/US 50 W/ US 33 E

Take the exit for SR 682 North. At the traffic circle, exit to the right onto Richland Avenue, crossing the Hocking River. Follow the posted Green Lot signs. Stay in the right-hand lane and turn right onto Richland Avenue at the traffic light.

Know Before You Park:

• Parking lots will open at 7:00 AM for the Ohio vs. Jacksonville State football game on September 12. Please have your parking permit downloaded and ready to display to the attendant upon arrival to help expedite the entry process.
• No overnight parking will be allowed, vehicles parked overnight will be towed at owners expense.
• One space per vehicle. Parking is first-come, first-served, and saving space is not allowed.
• RV parking is not available; please reference the 'Need Parking" section below for RV/camper options.

Orange/Orange VIP Lot

Parking in the Orange/Orange VIP Lot is by Orange/Orange VIP parking pass only. Passes are assigned for the full season; the lot is accessible from Oxbow Trail.

US 33 W/US 50 E/ OH 32 E/US 50 W/ US 33 E

Take the exit for SR 682 North. At the traffic circle, exit right onto Richland Avenue, crossing the Hocking River. Follow the posted Orange Lot signs. Stay in the center lane, continue straight through the first traffic light, then turn right onto Bobcat Lane. Continue straight on Bobcat Lane following posted signs and turn right into the Orange Lot.

Yellow Lot

Parking in the Yellow Lot is by yellow parking pass only. Passes are assigned for the full season; the lot is accessible from Richland Avenue.

Take the exit for SR 682 North. At the traffic circle, exit right onto Richland Avenue and cross the Hocking River. Stay in the left turn lane and turn left at the traffic light onto South Shafer Street. The lot entrance is immediately on the right.

• Parking lots will open at 10:00 AM for the Ohio vs. Jacksonville State football game on September 12. Please have your parking permit downloaded and ready to display to the attendant upon arrival to help expedite the entry process.
• No overnight parking will be allowed, vehicles parked overnight will be towed at owners expense.
• RV parking is available with permit only.

Blue Lot

Parking in the Blue Lot is by blue parking pass only. Passes are assigned for the full season; the lot is accessible from Richland Avenue.

Take the exit for SR 682 North. At the traffic circle, exit right onto Richland Avenue and cross the Hocking River. Lot access is available from either the left turn lane or the center lane by following posted signage:

Left turn lane: Turn left at the traffic light onto South Shafer Street.

Center lane: Continue straight through the traffic light, then make the first left onto West Green Drive.

Parking in the Tailgreat Park is by Tailgreat parking pass only. Passes are assigned presold; the lot is accessible from Richland Avenue.

Take the exit for SR 682 North. At the traffic circle, exit right onto Richland Avenue and cross the Hocking River. Stay in the left turn lane and turn left at the traffic light onto South Shafer Street. Follow signs to the lot entrance on the left.

Gameday Lot Parking

Game day pre-purchased parking permits will be honored in designated game day lots. Game day parking will be available for $15 on a first-come, first-served basis, on game day spaces are not guaranteed in a specific lot.

Please note game day parking is located on campus perimeter with shuttle service to the venue.

Take the exit for SR 682 North. At the traffic circle, exit right onto Richland Avenue and cross the Hocking River. Stay in the center lane, continue straight through the traffic light, then make the first left onto West Green Drive. Follow posted signs.

US 33 E

Keep left when entering Athens for US 50/32 East, take left exit for Stimson Avenue, at the traffic circle exit right onto N. 1804 Way, turn left onto Mill Street and follow posted signs.

US 50 W

Take exit for Co Road 25/Stimson Avenue, take a right onto Co Road 25 followed by a left onto Stimson Avenue. At traffic circle exit right onto N. 1804 Way, turn left onto Mill Street and follow posted signs.

US 33 W/ US 50 E/ OH 32 E

Take exit for Co Road 25/Stimson Avenue. Turn left onto Co. Road 25, then right, followed by a left onto Stimson Avenue. At the traffic circle, exit right onto N. 1804 Way, turn left onto Mill Street, and follow posted signs.

• Shuttles will run from perimeter game day lots to venue beginning at 4PM and continue until 1 Hour Post Game

  

Construction Projects and Traffic

Several construction projects throughout Athens may affect traffic patterns or result in delays for those traveling to and from campus. Members of the OHIO community and guest should remain alert for changing traffic patterns and allow additional travel time when needed.

Projects to be aware of include:

• SR 682/SR 56 Roundabout: Construction of a new roundabout and sidewalks at the intersection is underway to improve vehicle and pedestrian safety. The project is expected to be completed in late 2026.
• Uptown utilities at Carpenter Street: Utility construction in the uptown area may affect traffic patterns and access.
• OU HTRC at Factory Street: Construction near Heritage Hall may affect traffic in the area using Factory Street and Station Street.
• Columbus Road: Construction is not expected to result in a full road closure, but drivers should anticipate potential delays.
• U.S. 33 widening near Pomeroy: Ongoing work associated with the U.S. 33 widening project may affect traffic traveling to and from the Athens area on U.S. 33 east.
