Friends of the Libraries

Students Working
Sadie Skerak, a freshman in health administration, uses the Libraries’ resources to work on a class assignment.

The Friends of the Libraries was formed in 1979 to help fill the gap between external funding and the real cost of providing high-quality collections and services to the university community and beyond.

Become a Friend of Ohio University Libraries and help support OHIO’s excellence in teaching, learning and research. Members are individuals who, like you, understand that access to the Libraries’ resources enriches every aspect of academic excellence and innovative programs.

As a Friend, you will enjoy some of our benefits — read more in borrowing card privileges.

Memberships begin at $20 for students and seniors; and $30, $50, $100, $200, $500 or more for all other individuals. Contributions to the Friends are fully tax deductible.

To become a member and receive your borrowing card, contact the Libraries to make an appointment. You will need to bring a valid Driver's License or State ID and payment (credit card, check, or exact cash). (If you wish to donate but don't need library privileges, you may also pay by mail - contact the Libraries for details.)
