Counseling Services Through BetterMynd
BetterMynd is an online therapy platform designed specifically for college students that offers eligible OHIO students 24/7 access to free and confidential mental health care from a network of licensed mental health counselors. As part of OHIO's partnership with BetterMynd, students have access to:
- 24/7 Crisis Support Line. Call anytime—day or night, weekends, holidays, and in between to connect with a licensed counselor for immediate support, emotional guidance, or crisis care.
- Scheduled Counseling (6 visits per year): Select the day, time, and mental health provider of your choice. Sessions are 50-minute live video sessions with licensed counselors from diverse backgrounds. These sessions are confidential and can take place anywhere students feel comfortable.
- Wellbeing Workshops: One-hour live psychoeducational group sessions designed to equip students with practical tools and strategies for mental health and personal development are led by licensed counselors. They complement individual counseling or can be attended as a standalone resource. Over 20 workshops are offered each month and students have unlimited access! Log in to the student dashboard to check upcoming topics.
Whether you're feeling anxious or overwhelmed, you can talk to a licensed provider to get the care you need via phone or secure video visits.
