Subject: Don't Forget to Apply for Graduation - Summer Semester 2025-26
Dear Bobcat,
Did you know graduation is not automatic? You must apply to graduate for your degree, major, minor, or certificate to be awarded, even if you are not planning to participate in a commencement ceremony. The deadline to apply for Summer Semester 2025-26 graduation is Monday, July 13, 2026.
If you plan to complete all requirements to graduate this summer semester, please apply for graduation as soon as possible. If you do not apply by Monday, July 13, but still need to graduate this summer, you will be charged a $100 late application for graduation fine. Alternatively, you may apply next semester to avoid the $100 late application fee; however, doing so will delay your graduation to the next term.
Any applicable graduation application fees will be charged to your student account after the successful submission of your application. Note that fees might not appear immediately, and many undergraduate students’ graduation fees are included in the OHIO Guarantee fee rate. If you do see fees assessed, you may pay them through your MyOHIO Student Center. Payment is not required at the time of application, but failure to pay any fees assessed to your account could create delays in receiving your diploma.
You may apply for graduation in your MyOHIO Student Center. For detailed instructions and additional graduation information, please visit the graduation website.
Once you have successfully applied for graduation, you will receive a confirmation via email. If you have already received an email with your confirmation, then your application is complete. If a confirmation email has not yet arrived, please review your application to make sure all required steps were completed. If you have any questions, please contact the University Registrar’s Office at graduation@ohio.edu or 740.593.4196.
