Equipment Rentals

Get the quality, brand-name gear you need for adventures from our rental center! Our massive inventory of outdoor equipment includes everything from backpacks, tents, and sleeping bags to canoes and crash pads. Plus, we'll teach you how to use any items you rent so you feel confident whether you're camping, climbing, or cruising down the river.

*In order to receive the student & community member pricing, students must present a valid student ID and community members must provide proof of address. Community members constitutes residents of Athens, Morgan, Washington, Meigs, Vinton, Hocking, and Perry counties. Proof of address can include a driver's license, license plate, insurance card, voter registration card, utility bill, or other item listing the customers name and address.   • NEW! Mountain Bike Rentals

    Quality mountain bikes, now available through our partnership with the Outdoor Recreation Council of Appalachia (ORCA) — open to students, community members, and visitors.

    Ride around campus, along the Hocking Adena Bikeway, through Strouds Run and Lake Hope State Parks, or on the Bailey's Trail System (closed to bikes in winter).

    See pricing above. One tip: the daily rate covers overnight too — a Saturday rental can come back Sunday at no extra cost.

    No bike rack? Skip the trip back to campus — pick up a rental right in Chauncey and ride straight to the trailhead, less than a mile away.
