Surveys Advisory Community seeks members and campus input
If you would like to help shape the future of surveys at Ohio University, consider joining the newly formed OIT Surveys Advisory Community. The new advisory community invites discussion on various survey tools that support University-wide initiatives and invites new members to begin discussions that will help guide the future of the group.
Historically, surveys have been used within the teaching and learning community, for research efforts, and campus wide for information gathering purposes. This group invites anyone at OHIO to attend and learn more about how they could be utilizing survey tools to better inform strategies through data-driven results.
The Surveys Advisory Community supports OHIO’s technologies for in-class surveys, research, and course evaluations. Membership is open to anyone at the University, with no prior experience or technical expertise required. The only qualifications are an interest in the topic and a willingness to share ideas and listen to the ideas of others.
Advisory communities are an important part of the University's IT Governance framework. They provide a means to engage with OIT and influence decisions based on the needs and experiences of participants and, most importantly, to inspire action to meet those needs. Advisory communities will influence service roadmaps and help inform future investments.
The first meeting of the Surveys Advisory Community will take place on Thursday, February 25 from 11 am - 12pm via Microsoft Teams. Drop-ins are welcome, but to get the most out of the experience, we recommend joining the Microsoft Team devoted to this topic.
