Ohio University's Office of Information Technology is committed to ensuring that information and communication technology (ICT) can be used by a wide range of people, including those with disabilities who may also be using assistive technology — also known as digital accessibility.
The digital accessibility team shares policies and standards related to accessibility and offers guidance and support for understanding, following and implementing those policies and standards.

Join the OHIO Digital Accessibility Network
The OHIO Digital Accessibility Network (OHIO-DAN) is a University-wide group of staff, faculty, students, and leaders learning and working together to make digital tools and content more accessible for people with disabilities.
Technology & Software Purchase Review Requirement
Policy 04.001 IT Accessibility requires all purchased and created digital products and services to adhere to OHIO's digital accessibility guidelines. OHIO's guidelines are based on the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA.
After submitting a technology review request, a multi-departmental committee of campus professionals, each with unique areas of expertise, seeks to understand if the University currently owns a comparable solution that will perform the same function as the requested solution.
