The Ohio University Health Collaborative connects health-related resources across Ohio University to support partnerships with health systems, providers, government agencies and community-based organizations. Whether you are from just down the road, across the state or across the country, the Collaborative wants to open OHIO’s doors to you.
OHIO graduates the largest number of primary care physicians in the state, is home to one of the largest health sciences schools in the country and hosts a nationally-recognized school of leadership and public service. As an institution, OHIO is committed to working with private sector and community partners at the local, state and national level. This work drives us to collaborate with our partners to build new knowledge together. These values inform the work of the Collaborative which seeks to improve health outcomes through innovative partnerships with hundreds of agencies, nonprofits and government entities to understand and address the complex challenges that shape health outcomes.

The Collaborative supports OHIO’s commitment to advancing knowledge, discovery and creative activity that serves the public good and improves health. Community Health Services
Community engagement and care delivery is at the center of our mission. The Collaborative works to connect students, faculty and researchers with real-world opportunities to improve health outcomes across the region and beyond. From chronic disease prevention to behavioral health and wellness, child and family services, clinical care and community-based health education, the Collaborative supports programs that address critical needs—linking university expertise with initiatives that strengthen individual and community health.
Health Workforce Development
The Collaborative provides workforce development through comprehensive training and education designed to meet the evolving needs of health employers across the region and the state. Our commitment includes the full spectrum of health degrees but also extends to continuing education and certification programs, customized programs for employers to enhance existing workforce skills, leadership training and partnerships to leverage resources for workforce development.
