Eileen earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and her Master’s of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Cleveland State University. She is licensed in the State of Ohio as a Professional Clinical Counselor with a supervisory credential and has over 23 years of experience working in mental health and wellness treatment. She has received extensive training on the ways that physical and mental health interact and affect one another. Eileen received her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training certification and uses a variety of mindfulness and breathing techniques in her practice. Eileen has a wealth of experience working with clients of all ages, and especially likes working with emerging adults/college aged individuals. She has specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), conflict resolution and crisis management. Eileen has advanced training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and has received specialty training in working with survivors of sexual abuse and trauma. Eileen has many years of experience working with individuals who struggle with eating disorders, depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder. In her free time Eileen enjoys the many opportunities the Athens area offers for spending time in nature.  She enjoys hiking, kayaking, and stand up paddle-boarding.  Eileen also loves to read, practice yoga, and spend time with her family, her friends and her rescue dogs.
