Faculty and Staff Parking Permits

Transportation & Parking Services (TPS) has currently delayed the annual faculty/staff permit renewal period while guidance for campus operations is developed. Current campus permits will be honored beyond their expiration date of June 30th, 2020 to support faculty/staff who need parking access on campus. Payroll deductions have been suspended at this time until further notice. A communication will be distributed in advance to faculty/staff once a new date has been established for the annual permit renewal process and as additional information regarding the timing of reinstatement of payroll deductions is available.   Please contact the TPS Customer Care Center at tps@ohio.edu for questions regarding your campus parking permit access.


To opt in or out of your parking permit, you must do so during the annual opt in and out process, dates provided by Human Resources.  

Transportation & Parking Services values our campus faculty and staff members. Several permit options are available to meet parking needs. Ohio University boasts a pedestrian friendly campus offering transportation solutions connecting users to campus, local and regional travel destinations.

Permit Types & Fees

Parking is available for full-time, part-time and retired OHIO faculty/staff.  Faculty/staff parking is permitted in regular non-metered, non-restricted spaces within dark green & purple parking lots throughout campus. Permits are $150 per fiscal year (July 1 - June 30). Full-time benefits eligible employees will receive payroll deductions for permit fees. Part-time & retired employees may purchase parking based on contract and usage needs. Permits are issued at a cost of $12.50/month. Priority Lot Parking

Faculty/staff may choose to request parking which provides access to designated parking facilities located uptown in addition to dark green & purple lots on campus. Priority permits are issued in limited quantities based on lot location and are $300 per fiscal year (July 1-June 30). Priority Lot permits are issued from a waitlist, you will need to log into your Parking Portal to add yourself to the waitlist(s) of your choice. Priority permit locations include: 

  • Light Green Lots (Lasher/Central Classroom): Lots 18, 19 & 20
  • Gray Lots (Seigfred/Hudson): Lots 36, 38 & 39
  • Yellow Lot (Gordy): Lot 2
  • Orange Lots (Scott Quad): Lots 4 & 6

How To Purchase

Full-time benefits eligible employees may electronically renew permits during the Transportation & Parking Services' renewal period via the OHIO Parking Portal  . Permits are shipped directly to the employee. Please contact our Customer Care Team with questions regarding Priority Lot Parking issuance & availability.

Permit Types & How To Purchase

Three campus parking facilities provide guaranteed parking. These permits are $800 annually. If interested in any of the following facilities below you will need to connect to your parking portal and add yourself to a waitlist.
