Innovation comes naturally to engineers and technologists. For as long as we can remember, we've enjoyed thinking, making, doing, transforming. The Russ College of Engineering and Technology offers a forward-thinking, student-centered learning environment where technical expertise and collaboration produce ideas for the future. At the Russ College, we discover ways to make a sustainable mark on the world. Join us and create for good.

Undergraduate Students

At the Russ College, you’ll be part of a rigorous academic and research community based on the principles of mathematics and science. We look at the holistic record of well-rounded, capable students with ambition. For engineering disciplines and computer science, our typical freshmen rank in the top 30 to 50 percent of their high school graduating classes, with four years of math, a year of chemistry, and a year of physics; and score a minimum 23 on the ACT or combined 1160 on the SAT. Learn more about admission requirements or begin your application at the Undergraduate Admissions website.

Transfer Students

Ready for a change? Ohio University and the Russ College welcome students from other institutions who have completed nine semester hours after graduating high school. For more information about transfer applications, visit the undergraduate admissions website.

International Students

Take your passion for engineering further as an international student at the Russ College. Find our undergraduate international applicant requirements at International Admissions. Ohio University also offers English as a Second Language study through the Ohio Program of Intensive Language.

Taking the Student Experience to the Next Level

Like every program, the Russ College has specific requirements — things that you absolutely have to do to graduate. But we believe that what really makes your experience worthwhile are the things you choose to do, like taking advantage of our many valuable learning and leadership opportunities and extracurricular activities. Here are some other ways that our students are taking their experience to the next level.
