Medea Loibl is the director of the OHIO Career Ready Campus, providing direction and administrative oversight for the teaching and learning activities and financial operations of the Aspire grant held by Ohio University. Originally from Austria, Medea is a bilingual leader with a passion for lifelong learning. She is a strong advocate for adult education, non-traditional learners, and workforce development initiatives. She cares about community needs and supports efforts to uplift the economy in rural areas.
Medea graduated from the University of Vienna, Austria, with a BA in Social and Cultural Anthropology and holds an MA in Cross-Cultural and International Education from Bowling Green State University. Before starting her position as director of the OHIO Career Ready Campus, Medea worked as a middle school teacher at an inner-city school in Vienna, as a program manager for student exchange at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, and as a career pathways specialist at the Athens-Meigs Educational Service Center.
