Program Curriculum

This 30-credit program is designed to be completed with 2 consecutive semesters in residence on our beautiful Athens campus. The requirements are:

  • INST 6500, Research in War & Peace (4 credits, fall term only)
  • 4 credits of methodology in war and peace research
  • 4 credits of area studies courses on a specific world region
  • 16 credits of war and peace electives (choose from over 40 courses across 10 departments) 
  • A culminating capstone experience comprising a comprehensive exit exam designed by the War & Peace affiliated faculty and a major research paper completed during the program
