Undergraduate Applicants
The Center for International Studies is committed to helping students fund their education. Students may be eligible for federal funding, scholarships and awards from Ohio University, and special funding opportunities for study away programs. Graduate Applicants
Five of the graduate programs at the Center for International Studies offer financial assistance to selected students. Aid is awarded competitively on the basis of merit including previous academic performance or post graduation professional or other work experience. Programs also look for geographical, cultural, linguistic and other forms of diversity so that collectively the group of students strengthens the program.

- Appropriateness of background to program of study
- Work experience
- Special skills

Applicants wishing to be considered for program financial aid should complete the financial aid section on the Ohio University graduate application.

Program Financial Aid:
- Graduate Assistant/Teaching Assistant
A full-time award carries a stipend plus a full tuition scholarship. The student is responsible for the remainder of semester fees. The recipient must register for 12 graduate credit hours and provide fifteen to twenty hours of work per week for the program as assigned. The student must maintain a 3.0 gpa.
- Graduate Recruitment Scholarship
This partial tuition scholarship plus an $1800 stipend will cover the yearly tuition fee. The student is responsible for the remainder of semester fees. The recipient must register for 15 graduate credit hours, and maintain a 3.0 gpa, and provide six hours of work per week for the program as assigned.
To be given full consideration for program financial aid, completed application and supporting documents need to be received by January 1. Admission and funding decisions will begin shortly thereafter. Later applications will be considered but decisions will be contingent upon availability.
International students can include financial aid awards to meet the estimated expenses on the Financial Support form.

Federal Loans
