    OHIO provides a dynamic educational experience for our students through a combination of flexible online courses and in-person engagement opportunities. All MBAn students attend our Leadership Development Conference to network and connect with fellow students, program faculty and OHIO alumni.

    This two-day conference is designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world application through an exploration of various aspects of leadership, such as how to lead yourself, how to lead and influence others and how to effectively lead businesses and enterprises in today’s modern environment. This on-campus event includes guest speakers, panel discussions, general business presentations and program-specific breakout sessions.

    Ohio University has a long tradition of offering online programs specifically designed for the modality and created for working professionals. Our online students complete engaging, comprehensive coursework that combines the academic excellence and experience-based learning of a traditional program with all the flexibility and convenience of online study.

Dr. William A. Young

Associate Professor; Director, Online MBA; Director, Online MBAn

Dr. Young is a passionate educator, an active researcher, and a team-oriented collaborator in service. At Ohio University’s College of Business, Dr. Young is the Director of the Online Masters of Business Administration (OMBA) program, the Director of the Online Masters of Business Analytics (OMBAn), and a Charles G. O’Bleness Associate Professor of Business Analytics. 

He earned his doctorate degree in Mechanical and Systems Engineering from Ohio University in 2010, where he won the 2009–2010 Outstanding Graduate Doctoral Student Leader Award. Dr. Young also received a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Electrical Engineering at Ohio University in 2002 and 2005, respectively. He has collaborated with multidisciplinary teams of faculty, students, and professionals on projects and programs that have been funded by General Electric Aviation, the National Science Foundation, Sogeti Netherlands and Ohio’s Department of Labor.
