Online Program Management Partners

Ohio University uses selected third parties to extend access to online programs. The university works with third-party online program management (OPM) companies, currently Risepoint and Guild. This page describes the role each partner plays on the university's behalf.

Risepoint

Risepoint is an online program management company that provides a range of non-academic services to support selected Ohio University online graduate programs.

Risepoint supports OHIO with market research, digital advertising, and outreach campaigns to help prospective students discover Ohio University's online programs. They also assist interested adult learners and working professionals through the initial inquiry and application process. For enrolled students, Risepoint helps Ohio University provide student success coaching and retention services to help online students navigate their educational journey through graduation.

Risepoint does not own course content, teach, or create curricula. All admission, financial aid, instruction, grading, and academic decisions are made exclusively by Ohio University, and all intellectual property remains with the university.

Guild

Guild is an education and career mobility platform that connects forward-thinking employers with education and learning programs. Ohio University announced its partnership with Guild in July 2022 to increase access to in-demand degrees — particularly in nursing, allied health, business, and communication — for working learners whose employers offer education benefits.

Guild supports OHIO students connected to an employer partner through non-academic services including program discovery, inquiry and application support, career and success coaching, technology platform services, payment facilitation, and learner services throughout the student lifecycle. Guild also provides partnership management, reporting, and employer program administration services designed to connect learners with educational opportunities and support their progress toward academic and career goals.

As with all Ohio University online programs, admission, financial aid, academic content, instruction, and all related decisions remain entirely under the authority of Ohio University.
