Letterhead and Stationery
Ohio University offers an adaptable system for letterheads and stationery designed to allow for flexibility in length of content and sub-brand expression while staying anchored in the OHIO brand. Brand consistency is delivered through the standard use of the arched OHIO word mark, while adjustable content sections and optional double-sided envelopes offer space for the inclusion of college or unit-level sub-brands.
Production of all University stationery and business cards is required by policy to go through University Printing Services, where it is produced on site. OHIO’s Athens-based print shop is the largest printing facility in Southeast Ohio offering a broad range of printing services. Order online through the links below, or in person at the OHIO Marketing Services Center on the first floor of Grovesnor Hall. All orders can be picked up at the Marketing Services Center when complete.
Letterhead
The Ohio University letterhead must include the block OHIO as shown below as well as a footer containing appropriate contact information. Beyond these simple guidelines, units have flexibility to add a college or division name along with a unit or department adjacent to the logo. Regional campuses may include the campus name and/or additional division or department names. However, none of these elements adjacent to the logo are required, and Division/College/Department/Unit information can alternatively be included in the footer section or not at all.
The footer can include any combination of Division/College/Department/Unit name, address, phone, fax, email, web and social media. It is best practice to include, at a minimum, an official office address and phone number. All elements used in the footer must direct to official University phone numbers, web addresses and social media accounts. Links to personal websites or social media accounts are not allowed on official Ohio University letterhead.
Electronic letterhead with standard Ohio University contact information can be downloaded from the Stationery downloads page. Using either printed or electronic letterhead, University employees are encouraged to utilize the University’s brand fonts.
Pre-printed standard University letterhead and standard business envelopes are available for pick up at no cost at the Marketing Services Center on the first floor of Grovesnor Hall for any faculty or staff member. For volumes larger than 25, please contact the Marketing Services Center in advance at msc@ohio.edu.

Business Envelope
Envelopes for use with Ohio University letterhead should include the block OHIO mark along with the appropriate University postal return address to include the necessary combination of Division/College/Department/Unit name.
Custom design with subbrand expression is allowable for the back of the business envelope where appropriate. This sort of expression would not be appropriate, for example, for units sending transactional business notices. It might, however, be appropriate for letters of appreciation, celebration or information sharing.
Thank You Cards and Note Cards
Are you looking for standard branded note cards or thank you cards for University correspondence? Packs of 25 cards or less are available for pick up at no cost at UCM's Marketing Services Center (MSC) on the first floor of Grovesnor Hall for any faculty or staff member. To place an order for holiday cards or other custom stationery, stop by the MSC or email msc@ohio.edu.

Bobcat Athletics Stationery
Ohio University Intercollegiate Athletics utilizes letterhead and business cards showcasing the Bobcat athletics marks.
