Graduate students at Ohio University conduct new research and develop creative projects each semester as they move toward the completion of their degree. However, once the paper is presented or the creative work shared, the journey to project completion is often obscured. At the same time, OHIO students continue to ask new questions and develop new creative works in a wide range of media. In order to better illuminate these processes, the Libraries is once again partnering with the Graduate Student Senate on the Graduate Research Series (GRS).
Each semester, the GRS committee selects a student or group of students to discuss their research process in a public presentation. Previous presenters have hailed from a wide range of disciplines and Ohio University departments.
Applications are now being accepted for the Spring 2022 Graduate Research Series, and must be submitted by Monday, February 14, 2022 at 12 p.m. (noon). Proposals will be reviewed by the GRS committee, made up of representatives from the Libraries and the graduate student body. Presenters earn a valuable opportunity to bolster their presentation skills and share their work with the OHIO community, and will be paid $200. Spring semester presentations will be scheduled for the week of April 4, 2022.
Questions about the GRS application or presentation series, including requests for accommodations, can be directed to Jen Harvey.
