Dissertation Writing Support Program
Welcome!
The Dissertation Writing Support Program is a year long writing community designed for graduate students and Honors Tutorial College writers working on theses and dissertations. DWSP is funded through the Konneker Grant, and provides structured writing time, research informed strategies, and cross campus support to help writers make consistent, sustainable progress.
Open registration for DWSP runs through June 2026. Once registered, students receive updates about upcoming writing groups, workshops, and encouragement from the DWSP planning committee via Outlook. Please contact dwsp@ohio.edu to get registered.
What DWSP Offers
DWSP is built to reduce isolation, increase accountability, and help writers stay on track during long term academic projects. Participants gain:
- Weekly virtual writing groups
- Monthly writing retreats and special events
- Research backed writing strategies
- Access to quiet writing spaces
- Support from writing specialists, librarians, and Graduate College staff
- A supportive community of peers working toward similar goals
DWSP welcomes writers from all academic disciplines and at every stage of the process, from proposal drafting to final revisions.
