The Body Project
A group-based prevention program designed to increase body acceptance and decrease risk factors for the development of eating disorders.
The program is evidence-based and has been found to decrease belief in the appearance ideal, decrease risk factors for eating disorders, and decrease risk for future eating disorders.

The definition of the perfect body changes radically over time and is often an unattainable ideal. For instance, these messages tell women to be thin, curvaceous, muscular and delicate — all at once!
Diet and weight loss have grown to be a $71 billion industry, yet according to studies 95% of diets fail. They do so on purpose to keep the business running.
Eating disorders can affect anyone, regardless of their race, gender, or sex. Although eating disorders are more common in females, a 2007 study by the CDC found that up to one-third of all eating disorder sufferers are male.
Join the Body Project
Attend four, one-hour sessions, during which you will:
- Engage in open conversations led by peer educators about body image
- Directly confront the appearance ideal
- Discuss body activism
All will be conducted in a brave and welcoming environment. Content is gender inclusive and we welcome anyone who wants to learn how to engage with their body in a more helpful way.
