OGO Regional and eCampus Student Scholarship
Program Eligibility
Office of Global Opportunities Regional and eCampus Student Scholarship can be used for participation on:
- OHIO-Credit Domestic and International programs,
- OHIO Exchange programs,
- Affiliated Provider programs, and
- Other approved credit-bearing study away and virtual programs.

Student Eligibility
- Must be enrolled at Ohio University as a degree-seeking graduate or undergraduate student in good academic standing with a preponderance of credits (more than half at the time of application) at one of OHIO's regional campuses or eCampus. Note: HCOM students attending the Dublin and Cleveland campus are not eligible.
- Must be applying or accepted to a credit-bearing study away program sponsored by OHIO or another accredited institution.
- US citizens, permanent residents and international undergraduate OHIO students are encouraged to apply.
Preference will be given to students participating in their first university study abroad or study away experience.
Application Requirements
Read the requirements carefully to make sure you have the required information and materials before you proceed. Once you begin the common scholarship application, you will need to provide answers to all questions in one sitting in order to submit your application.

- Consider: What should the scholarship committee know about you? Why did you select this particular opportunity (location, length, subject area, etc.)?
- Describe your prospective global experience and the impact it will have on you.
- Consider: What do you hope to gain from this experience? How will this experience fit into your future academic and professional plans?

- In 1-2 paragraphs, please describe the challenge you face as a regional campus student participating on a global experience?
Award Amounts
Award amounts will vary based on the number of credits associated with the program:
- $1,000 for students taking 1-4 credit hours on their program
- $2,000 for students taking 5-9 credit hours on their program
- $3,000 for students taking 10 or more credits on their program
Awards are intended to defray the cost of travel associated with global opportunity programs. Award amounts may vary.
Total awards received from OHIO may not exceed combined program fee and estimated out of pocket costs (cost of attendance).
In order to receive an award, the student must be registered with the Office of Global Opportunities through the GO App. The award will be directly applied to students' OHIO accounts during the term in which the awardee is scheduled to travel.
Deadlines
- Winter Break 22-23, Spring Semester 2023, and Spring Break 2023 Programs:
- October 1, 2022 at 11:59pm
- Summer 2023, Fall 2023, and Academic Year 2023-2024 Programs
- March 1, 2023 at 11:59pm
Note: It can take up to one month after the scholarship deadline for the scholarship committees aim to render their decisions.
OGO Common Application for Scholarships
The OGO Regional and eCampus Student Scholarship is now part of the OGO Common Application for scholarships. Through the common application, OHIO students will be able to apply for multiple scholarships in one place. You can access the application here.
