OGO Regional and OHIO Online Student Scholarship

Program Eligibility

Office of Global Opportunities Regional and OHIO Online Student Scholarship can be used for participation on:

  • Select OHIO-Credit Domestic and International programs. To know if your program qualifies, check under the “Funding Opportunities” section of the program’s website.

Programs must occur in one of the following terms: 

  • Winter Break 26-27
  • Spring Semester 2027 (including Spring Break and Spring short-term)
  • Summer 2027

Student Eligibility

  • Must be an undergraduate, degree-seeking OHIO student applying for participation in a study away program for academic credit.
  • Must be in good academic and conduct standing.
  • Must have a regional campus listed as service campus in My OHIO Student Center.

Requirements for Award Consideration

All regional campus students (as determined by Service Campus) who participate on select OHIO-Credit domestic or international program, will be considered for this award; no additional application is required.

Nominated/Accepted Program Application - Applicant must have submitted their program application within the OGO Student Portal and be nominated and/or accepted to their chosen program.

Award Details

The Regional and OHIO Online Student Scholarship is structured to partially offset the additional cost of the Athens campus tuition associated with credit hours on select programs.

Once an applicant has been nominated in the OGO Student Portal, they will be evaluated first to ensure award criteria have been met (program eligibility, applicant eligibility, and presence of existing application). 

Starting October 1, 2026 - Applicants will be notified of their award status within 5 business days of nomination/acceptance.

Participants on approved programs will receive a scholarship in the amount of $350 per credit hour, up to a maximum of 12 credits. The total amount is based on the required credit hours for program participation.

This scholarship will be manually applied after course registration is completed.

Note: 

  • Awards are contingent on being accepted to and traveling on the program listed in the application.
  • The award will be directly applied to the student's OHIO account during the term in which the associated program credit hours are offered.

Total awards received from OHIO may not exceed combined program fee and estimated out of pocket costs (cost of attendance).
