The Global Professional Development Series is part of the Center for International Studies’ response to the growing needs of students seeking to lead global careers.
The program, which is suited for students from all disciplines and backgrounds, offers professional development seminars, workshops and alumni forums that will offer timely and valuable tips and tools that will help them succeed in their careers.

Canvas - From Idea to Reality: Value Creation & Accessing the Global Ecosystem

This session will expose students to tools for new value creation which can be applied to launching and managing global enterprises and entrepreneurial ventures. Students will learn how to use the venture model canvas and will gain hands on experience in developing this increasingly important tool.

Feb 23, 2018: Disruptive Development, featuring Mr. Halifa Sallah, a well-known and highly-respected political leader from The Gambia.
Feb 6, 2018: Cooperative Project Management which explored the complexities of cooperation versus competition in leading global projects.
Friday, Oct. 6 Keynote Address and Panel - Homecoming Week
On October 6, 2017, Ohio University welcomed alumnus David Crane back to campus to serve as the Keynote Speaker for a Global Professional Development Series Homecoming Week event. An alumni panel featuring Bethany George, Judi Crane and Omar Kurdi was also part of this special event.
