Collaborative Piano Services
The Ohio University School of Music and the College of Fine Arts believe that it is educationally and artistically important to foster collaborative partnerships among students. Successful musical partnerships are built on common goals, mutual respect, and a high degree of professionalism. Please find the details below.
Instrumental - Collaborative Piano Request Form
Please note that the Collaborative Piano Request Form is separate from the PL Request, Ohio University Soloist Competition Application, and Student Recital Request forms.
Deadlines for Submitting the Collaborative Piano Request Form:
- Jury: Thursday, October 1st, 2026, by 11:59 PM (before Fall Break)
- Recitals: 8 weeks before the recital hearing date (*all non-degree recitals in the fall semester must be held before Monday, November 16th, 2026)
- Studio/Divisional Recital: 8 weeks before the recital date
- PL Student Performance: 8 weeks before each performance date
- Ohio University School of Music Soloist Competition: 8 weeks before each division preliminary round
Should the deadline be missed, students will relinquish access to collaborative piano services.
Vocal - Collaborative Piano Request:
Voice students are not required to complete the Collaborative Piano Service Request Form. Collaborative pianist assignments will be made at the beginning of each semester. However, students are responsible for communicating directly with their assigned pianists regarding rehearsals.
Each student is expected to maintain a professional and respectful collaborative relationship. Failure to do so may result in the forfeiture of collaborative piano services for the semester.
