Student Affairs, Patton Hall 103M

Carl is a local to the Athens area and an educator at heart. A two-time graduate of Ohio University, he completed his undergraduate career as a CARE cohort member in 2021 with a B.S. in Middle Childhood Education, Language Arts, and Social Studies. Carl then went on to teach as part of the Ohio Teaching Fellows in a local school district, finishing an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and Administration. After his master’s degree, Carl went on to teach 7th-grade ELA at another local school district, after which, he transitioned to advising at OHIO in 2024. A firm believer in being a lifelong learner, Carl is currently pursuing his Ph.D in Higher Education Student Affairs.

Carl enjoys learning about all things history, particularly military history. He loves spending his time taking walks with his wife and son, gardening in his blueberry patch, backroading, and having good conversations over coffee.
