The Ohio University College of Business Society of Alumni and Friends (SAF) was organized in 1982 to serve as the primary liaison between the College of Business and its alumni.
Did you know that every graduate and student of the college is automatically a member of the College of Business Society of Alumni and Friends?
The SAF is the formal alumni relations arm of the College and pioneers many programs and initiatives.

Keegan VanMeter is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ® at Summit Financial Strategies. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. While at OU, Keegan distinguished himself through active involvement in the Fixed Income Management Group and the Select Leaders program, gaining hands-on investment and leadership experience that set him apart early in his career. His commitment to giving back to his alma mater continues today as a dedicated member of the Society of Alumni and Friends board and the Finance Advisory Council, where he supports the next generation of finance professionals.
Brandon Pearl is a real estate investor and founder of Pearl Property Solutions, a property management and investment firm serving Northeast Ohio. He oversees acquisitions, renovations, and management of single-family and multifamily properties. Previously, Brandon was an investment-grade bond trader. He also serves on the finance committee of North Coast Community Homes, a nonprofit organization that helps place people with disabilities in quality housing.
Joe Folmer completed his BBA with a major in marketing, minor in sales, in 2024. He also received his MBA from Ohio University in 2025. He was the president and captain of the Ohio University Division II Club Ice Hockey Team where he played for 4 years. He is now working at NLMK USA in their Sales Training program.
Ryan is a Strategic Partnerships Specialist at NetJets in Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from Ohio University in 2021 majoring in Marketing and Sports Management with a minor in Analytics. He joined the SAF Board in the Fall of 2022 and has enjoyed the chance to give back to the College of Business and help its students. In his free time, Ryan likes to play golf and travel to new locations around the US.
Sarah Browne serves as the Fixed Income Portfolio Manager at Foster & Motley, where she focuses on building customized bond portfolios and delivering disciplined investment solutions for clients. A two-time graduate of Ohio University, she earned her bachelor's degree in finance and international business and her master's degree in financial economics. Sarah is a CFA® charterholder and an active advocate for both financial literacy and women in the finance industry. She enjoys cycling, cooking, and giving back through community and mentorship initiatives. She loves returning to Athens and the Hocking Hills area, where she was recently married at Ash Cave.
Steve has over 25 years of progressive leadership working in finance, accounting, and operational strategy. He currently serves as Finance Director for the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC), guiding financial operations for this regional organization. Prior to this role, he held senior finance positions at Lutheran Social Services and AAA Club Alliance. The bulk of his career was spent in a variety of executive positions at JPMorgan Chase, including retail banking, risk management, ATM strategy, commercial real estate, and international finance. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a proud summa cum laude graduate of Ohio University. In addition, he served in a variety of volunteer positions including Children’s Hospital, Delaware County Food Bank, and of course, the Ohio University College of Business Alumni Board.
Jack Liberatore graduated from Ohio University in 2022, where he played baseball and earned a Bachelor’s degree from the Copeland School of Business. He also completed a Master's of Science in Management with a focus on business ventures and entrepreneurship. He now works in commercial real estate, where he’s building his career as a leader in the industry.
Ishan graduated from the College of Business in 2017 as an MIS and Finance major and is currently located in San Francisco, CA. During his time in the CoB he was a member of Delta Sigma Pi, Wandell Fellows (Select Leaders), and OUSEMG. Since then he has gained experience in Consulting at The Hackett Group and is now a Business Operations Manager at Apple.
Michael Finnegan currently serves as an Associate at Dimensional in Charlotte, NC. He graduated from OU in 2023 where he studied in Finance and Business Analytics. Throughout his time in Athens, Michael was involved in the Fixed Income Management Group and Copeland Scholars.
Patrick Roach graduated from Ohio University in May 2023 and majored in finance, business analytics and pre-law. In addition to studying and spending time with friends during his time at OU, Patrick was also an active member of the Copeland Scholars Honors Program and a player on the Ohio University Men's Ice Hockey Team.
Katherine (Kat) Omecene, Finance and Business Analytics '19, grew up in Pittsburgh and has built a career at the intersection of finance, analytics, and purpose-driven work. After graduating from OU, she joined Dell Technologies' Finance Development Program, completing four six-month rotations across corporate finance and sales strategy that provided a strong foundation in business operations and strategic planning. In October 2023, Kat transitioned to LifeStance Health, a mental healthcare company, where she currently serves as the Product Manager on the Strategy & Analytics team. In this role, she bridges the gap between business needs and data-driven solutions, developing actionable reporting and insights that improve patient outcomes and support clinician satisfaction. It's work that aligns deeply with her values - combining analytical expertise with meaningful impact in healthcare.Kat currently resides in Richmond, VA. Outside of work, Kat enjoys baking, being involved in local politics, reading, and practicing hot yoga.
Jillian Moorman is a Research Associate at Sycamore Capital, where she focuses on financial analysis of publicly traded small and mid-cap companies. She graduated from Ohio University in 2023 with majors in Finance and Business Analytics and was an active member of the Student Equity Management Group, Association of Women in Finance, and the Bobcat Seed Fund. Outside of work, she enjoys dancing, baking, and cheering on the Cleveland Guardians.
