Graduate Assistantship Positions

Application Materials and Directions

Please download the College Student Personnel/Graduate Assistantship Packet [PDF] for a program overview and information regarding the application processes.

Assistantships are on-campus positions that are designed to supplement your classroom experience with practical experience. The Division of Student Affairs offers many assistantship opportunities, and, given the partnership with The Gladys W. and David H. Patton College of Education, first consideration goes to those students applying for admission to the College Student Personnel program. The graduate assistantship application process and the academic admissions process are separate, but concurrent processes.

Candidates may apply for up to six assistantships

For your application, you will need your resume, cover letter, a list of professional references, and your autobiographical sketch/personal statement.

To learn more about the types of graduate assistantship opportunities available through this program, review the examples below. Not all positions are open for applicants each academic year. Hiring is complete for the 2019-2020 academic year. All positions for the 2020-2021 academic year opened on October 1, 2019 and will close January 15, 2020.  Open positions are posted for application to the Ohio University Jobs website at www.ohiouniversityjobs.com
