Overview

Ohio University's Bachelor of Technical and Applied Studies (BTAS) degree is an online program designed for associate's degree graduates who want to further their education and advance their careers.

The program provides you with knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to get ahead in your chosen career and integrates the technical skills developed within associate's degree programs with the professional skills in a bachelor’s degree program. The BTAS utilizes 60 semester hours of associate degree credit, of which a minimum of 24 semester hours must be in a technical field.

With asynchronous coursework and flexible advising, students can complete their degree on their own schedule. Take a full load and finish the degree in four semesters, or pace your courses to fit your life and career. This program is also available through OHIO's regional campuses.

Admission Requirements

  • Associate in Applied Business (A.A.B.) or Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) or 60 hours of technical degree credit of which a minimum of 24 hours is in a technical degree field
  • Cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 2.0 or higher
