Activate Your OHIO ID
To get started, it is essential that you activate your OHIO ID. You need your OHIO ID to access your OHIO email. Your birth date and your personal identification (PID) number (provided in your application acknowledgement letter) are all you need to officially activate your online OHIO access.
Complete Pre-enrollment Discipline and Criminal History Review Form
This quick, simple form is required for all admitted students as part of our commitment to providing the safest possible learning environment at Ohio University. The Required Pre-enrollment Discipline and Criminal History Review form is available in your MyOHIO Student Center and should be completed immediately. Disclosing a formal disciplinary action, charge, or conviction does not automatically disqualify you from enrollment, but your disclosures will be reviewed. Based on your answers, we may contact you to request further information. The form must be completed, reviewed and cleared for enrollment before you can register for classes.

Fund Your Education
Ohio University is committed to an affordable college education. The U.S. Department of Education is on track to launch the 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form in December 2023. The FAFSA must be received by Ohio University in order for you to be considered for all federal, state and institutional financial aid.

Complete the Online Orientation
You will receive an email from ecampus@ohio.edu that includes the name of your academic advisor and a link to the online orientation. A hold will be placed on your student account until you complete the online orientation. After the hold is removed, you can register for classes. Note: On the orientation sign-in page, enter your information and select 'Enter.' Do NOT select the option to 'Enter as Guest,' as we will have no record that you completed the orientation, and you will have to retake it.
Visit the Nursing Knowledge Center
If you are an RN to BSN admitted student, the Nursing Knowledge Center contains all of the information you need prior to enrollment that is specific to your degree.
Transfer Your Credits
Ohio University recognizes several kinds of transferable credits, including those from other institutions and exam credit.

Talk With Your Academic Advisor
When transfer credit has been applied to your student record and an updated Degree Audit Reporting System (DARS) report is available, your advisor will be in contact with you to set up an advising appointment during which you will review personalized program information. (The DARS is available after you are admitted to the University and your transfer credit has been fully evaluated.) Advising is required before you register for courses. Your advisor will send you a list of courses you might want to take during your first term.
View Course Offerings
See the courses available through the link below. Online bachelor's completion program courses are not listed in the regular course offerings.
Register for Classes
Please note: You may enroll in any OHIO course for which you meet the requisites, including those available to students at the Athens and regional campuses. However, you will pay the Athens campus or regional campus tuition for these courses, not the eCampus tuition rate. You will not be eligible for a tuition appeal if you accidentally register for courses that are listed on the regular course offerings page.
Familiarize Yourself With Blackboard
You will use Blackboard, Ohio University's web-based learning management system, to access your courses. Blackboard enables instructors to provide students with syllabi, course materials, discussion boards, virtual chat, online quizzes, an academic resource center, and more. You will not have access to Blackboard until you are enrolled in an active course. The professor might not make the course active until the first day of class.
