AIS Fellowship Program: IT & Change

The Analytics and Information Fellowship Program offers students a hands-on opportunity to study real-world applications and learn from key stakeholders involved in the university-wide enterprise information system transformation at OHIO.

Highlights of the program include:

• Gain hands-on experience driving organizational IT change at the highest levels.
• Engage with top leaders – Interview key decision-makers to understand the real challenges of large-scale technology transformation.
• Contribute to a major university-wide digital initiative and see your work impact real systems.
• Analyze and solve complex problems – Examine critical documents and data to uncover key insights in strategy, operations, and technology adoption.
• Deliver a high-impact report – Present findings that shape future decisions, building a standout portfolio for your career.
• Prepare for the future of work – Develop skills in change management, stakeholder engagement, and enterprise solutions — essential for careers in tech, consulting, and business.
• All participating students receive a $500 scholarship.

As a recent participant in the AIS Fellowship Program, I strongly encourage all MIS and Analytics students to apply and take full advantage of this opportunity. Throughout the program, I gained invaluable insights into ERP implementation, particularly at an enterprise level. I engaged directly with key stakeholders involved in the decision-making process for selecting a new platform, deepening my understanding of their strategic considerations.

Furthermore, I discovered the vital role of staff involvement, not only in possessing technical expertise but also in fostering strong communication skills essential for making informed business and technology decisions. Through hands-on experience, I collaborated with top industry leaders, worked closely with the CIO’s office, and contributed to major university-wide digital initiatives, witnessing real-world systems in action.

This experience was truly a defining moment in my college journey, and it equipped me with knowledge and skills that I will carry into my post-graduate career. I wholeheartedly advocate for students to engage with this program, explore large-scale digital transformations, and gain first hand exposure to impactful information system implementations.
