Alden Library Offers New Seat Reservation Service

As more students return to campus during Phase 2 this fall, Alden Library is experimenting with a new seat reservation program.  You can now reserve one of 22 available seats in the east wing of the 4th floor, which is to the left as you enter Alden from the 4th floor entrance. This is a  quiet (although not silent) space in the library with lots of natural light. All reservable seats in the space are designated for individual study.

Visit our reservation page to book an individual study table and chair up to two weeks in advance and up to four hours a day.

As is the case with all library study spaces, masks are required at all times in the reserved seating area.  Visit our FAQs for more information about how we have adjusted library operations in response to the pandemic. 

We encourage you to contact us with questions or feedback about our seat reservation pilot program.  If the program proves to be popular, we may expand to offer more reservable seating in Alden in the future.
