Ohio University Lancaster

Welcome to the Ohio University Lancaster Campus. Ohio University Lancaster offers the academic foundation of a university education, the convenience of a small campus setting, the affordability of state-assisted tuition, and relevant education for today's competitive job market. We also provide convenience throughout Fairfield County by offering students the option to attend classes on the Lancaster Campus or Pickerington Center. Situated on 113 acres on the northern edge of Lancaster, the campus serves students from throughout central Ohio. A variety of associate's and bachelor's degree programs can be completed on the Lancaster Campus. Ohio University also offers more than 250 majors, which you can begin in Lancaster or Pickerington and finish in Athens, at another regional campus or online.

Congratulations Blake Smith - selected as student of the month. Blake Smith is a communications studies major and member of the OUL baseball and golf teams. He held a social media internship with American Legion Post 11 and volunteers for the OUL volleyball video crew and Spring Fest Planning Committee.


Congratulations to Christine Wolfe, Associate Professor, who successfully defended her dissertation, the “Co-existence of Traditional and Online School as Experienced by Principals in Rural Appalachia.”  Dr. David Moore chaired the dissertation committee.

Paul Young

Dr. Paul Young, Assistant Lecturer (Music, Education), has been invited to present at the 2017 National In-Service Music Education Conference in Dallas in November, an annual gathering of music educators across the nation organized by the National Association for Music Education. His session topic, Mindset & Grit: Keys to Successful Performances, is designed to help music teachers model and teach growth mindset and grit traits that will increase their students’ perseverance skills and academic performance.


Congratulations to Danielle Dunkel named student of the month. She is a middle childhood education major and has been a member of the Dean’s list since 2013.  She volunteers in local food, school supply and animal shelter drives. Dunkel presented at the Ohio Confederation of Teacher Education Conference multiple times and is a member of OSEA-Ohio Student Education Association.


Dr. Robert M. Klein, Ohio University Lancaster Interim Associate Dean has been named to the Board of Directors of Teachers2Teachers Global-and organization providing resources, professional development opportunities, and culturally relevant support for teachers to inspire students worldwide.



Ohio University Lancaster Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice & Sociology, Jennifer L. Steele, Ph.D., was recently published in the following peer-reviewed journal publication:
