Dickens Headshot

I am an aspiring designer with a background in interior architecture, driven by a passion for creating immersive environments that tell compelling stories. From a young age, I was captivated by the transformative power of themed entertainment design, inspiring me to craft spaces that connect people through narrative and creativity. By blending technical expertise with the magic of storytelling, I strive to design experiences that evoke emotion, spark imagination, and leave a lasting impact. With an always-growing ability for detail and a deep appreciation for space planning, I aim to bring stories to life in ways that engage and inspire.

Growing up in rural Southern Ohio, I experienced firsthand the challenges of limited access to specialized healthcare and higher education. These observations inspired my passion for design as a tool to address social needs. My project, Rootwell, is a reflection of my commitment to creating spaces that promote both education and healthcare access for underserved communities. My work combines an understanding of small- town values, such as strong family bonds, with a desire to make meaningful, sustainable change in rural America.
