Hi I am Macy Roberto and I am from Galena, OH which is about 30 minutes North of Columbus. Growing up I was always around sports and knew I wanted to do something with sports. I started college thinking it would be with sports management but soon found out that I wanted to do something where I could be more creative. I did always enjoy going through different buildings and seeing the different layouts and designs within the space, so I figured that the best thing for me would be interior architecture in hopes of eventually designing sports facilities and stadiums!

My thesis project is an animal foster care center designed to make it easier for college students to foster dogs. By offering an area that supports both the dog and the student it aims to prevent impulsive dog ownership and foster responsible care. It will provide daycare hours for the animal and a coworking space for those who volunteer/ foster to go and do work while their dog gets some energy out. This initiative helps students provide loving homes while ensuring long-term dog welfare.
