Hi, I’m Jaicee’ Jeffery, a senior in Ohio University’s Fine Arts Interior Architecture program. I grew up in Northfield, Ohio, a small town between Cleveland and Akron. My passion for design began early, inspired by watching Treehouse Masters and constantly rearranging my room, finding joy in transforming spaces. My dad always told me to do what came easiest to me, and that’s how I knew design was my path. Now, as I prepare to graduate, I can’t help but think back to little Jaicee’—the girl who had no idea who she’d become but always knew she loved creating.

Empathy Spaces creates safe, inclusive environments where autistic individuals can manage sensory overload and develop self-regulation. Thoughtful design reduces stress while promoting comfort, focus, and personal growth. This topic is important to me because design has the power to transform lives, fostering empathy and inclusion for those often overlooked.
