Delaney Arledge
Hi! My name is Delaney Arledge, and I'm from Circleville, Ohio. I've always had a creative side, which led me to pursue a degree in Interior Architecture and Design. After joining the program at Ohio University, my love for design grew even stronger, and I’m excited to see where this path will take me after graduation. In addition to my major in Interior Architecture and Design, I decided to broaden my skills by minoring in both Studio Art and Business Administration. After graduation, I plan to stay in Athens for a while as I explore opportunities in residential or commercial design. I’m excited to graduate and see where the future of design will lead me!
My thesis project, the Riverbend Cancer Center, is designed with a focus on evidence-based design as a therapeutic tool to alleviate emotional burdens and enhance patients' mental well-being, ultimately supporting their healing process. Having personally witnessed the mental and emotional impact cancer treatment can have on a person, I aimed to create a space that not only facilitates medical care but also serves as a source of comfort and strength throughout the patient's treatment journey.
