Ali C. Sangay
Ali Cesar Sangay Ruiz, a Peruvian-American designer, merges creativity, technical skill, and entrepreneurialism. He invested in and built commercial/residential properties while earning a management degree at Universidad Privada del Norte. He gained hands-on construction experience providing a practical understanding of materials and spatial functionality. Further studies in Interior Design at Sinclair Community College and Interior Architecture at Ohio University refines his approach. Traveling extensively across the South and North America, he draws inspiration from diverse cultures and architecture. Fluent in Spanish and English and proficient in French, Ali is committed to designing transformative spaces that inspire and connect diverse communities.
The thesis, Rooted in Resilience, envisions architecture as a empowerment catalyst for South American immigrants in the U.S. food industry. Through communal kitchens, adaptable workspaces, and a food truck hub, the design fosters entrepreneurship and belonging. An empowering sculpture marks a symbolic gateway, bridging cultures through food, storytelling, and shared opportunity.
