IHS students complete Career Readiness Training Program

September 9, 2019

Integrated Healthcare Studies (IHS) majors gathered on Sunday to complete the Career Readiness Training Program. The program was facilitated by Megan Zech, a career coach in the Career and Leadership Development Center, who connects CHSP students to career resources.

The workshop students learned skills that will be valuable when they graduate and seek to join the workforce.

Topics included:

  • Creating and perfecting a resume and cover letter
  • Job search techniques
  • Interview tips
  • How to network effectively

Participants included students from the Athens Campus and students from eCampus who were able to attend the meeting digitally.

This workshop was part of an effort by Chelsea Freeman, the IHS academic advisor, to connect students to the many resources offered by the CLDC. Both on-campus and online students can utilize resources from the CDLC to prepare for their careers post-graduation.

Those who were unable to attend the workshop can attend individually in Baker Center as part of their Saturday Series. The CLDC’s calendar includes more information. Students can also schedule one-on-one appointments with Megan Zech through the CLDC website. Megan is available for phone appointments and on-campus appoints.
