Undergraduate Pay Policy

Effective August 1, 2022

General Policy

One section is defined as enrollment no fewer than 20 students where full pay is $2,850 per credit hour for faculty members and $2,250 per credit hour for staff members.

Small Classes (Athens Based)

No class with fewer than 20 students may be taught overload without the permission of the faculty member’s Department Chair and the Director of Undergraduate Programs.

For classes with less than 20 students, compensation will be prorated (see below). Minimum pay is $1,500 per credit hour for up to 10 students.

For additional students up to 20, pay increases by $135 for faculty per student/credit hour and $75 for staff per student/credit hour until reaching 20 students and full overload compensation per credit hour (see below).

eCampus Sibling Sections

A sibling section is a course section from another unit (eCampus or RHE) that is added on to an existing course. For eCampus sibling sections, pay is $75 for faculty per student/credit hour and $42 for professional staff per student/credit hour until reaching 20 students and full overload of pay of $1,500 and $840 per credit hour for faculty and professional staff respectively (see below).
