Biography

Maryann Gunderson is an alumna and third-generation Bobcat. She graduated with a degree in chemical engineering and began employment with DuPont, where she enjoyed assignments in process engineering, quality systems auditing, technical sales, national accounts, and recruiting. Her clients included IKEA, Great Indoors, Home Depot, and The Philadelphia Inquirer. She career-leveled at age 38 and began working on a Masters in Fine Art, where she is published. Gunderson began a public relations assignment with Kennedy Museum of Art in 2010. She also established a study abroad program for the Ohio University School of Art in Paris, and became a publicity assistant for scholarly book publisher Ohio University Press where she managed communications for authors with journal reviews and prize submissions to Pulitzer and PEN America prizes among others.

In her free time, Gunderson serves on the Human and Consumer Science Advisory Board, assists nonprofit organizations in web design, and owns Gunderson Art Appraisals.
