Sibs Weekend
February 17 — February 19, 2012
One of the first and best family weekends. Big and little sibs are invited to have a taste of college life and to bond with their brother or sister. Cousins and other family members are welcome, too!

Bus Transportation for sibs traveling to Ohio University can be found through the Ohio University Alumni Association website located HERE.
The schedule of events for Sibs Weekend will continue to be updated as more information is available from student organizations and university departments.
Open Stage with Bruce Dalzell
8pm - Midnight , The Front Room at Baker University Center
An Ohio University tradition of over 20 years. Sign up, stop by, and grab a cup of your favorite caffeinated beverage while Bruce Dalzell hosts the longest running Open Stage in Athens.
Star Gazing and Bonfire at The Ridges
Friday, February 17 from 7:00 - 11:30pm , The Ridges
Join Outdoor Pursuits and Astronomer George Eberts for an evening of stargazing and bonfire fun.We will spend the evening roasting marshmallows, spotting constellations, gazing through a telescope, and listening to tales of the night sky and Ridges lore. Fee includes transportation and bonfire snacks.
Cost is $8 per person.

Sibs Fest On West

The Sibs Fest on West, a long running, annual tradition, will feature a DJ and dance floor, crafts, video games, Bingo, refreshments, and door prizes including a Nintendo 3 DS, an iPod Touch, and of course, more.
School of Art Biennial Faculty Exhibition

During this special year of celebrating the 75th College of Fine Arts anniversary, the biennial Ohio University School of Art Faculty Exhibition features works by School of Art teaching, Emeriti and retired faculty. The presented artwork mediums range from painting, sculpture, ceramics, prints, and photography to graphic design, drawing, and new media like video and installation art.

Presented by The School of Theater. Directed by Jamie Lish. In this highly theatrical adaptation of Dostoyevsky's classic novel, nineteenth century Russia meets twenty-first century America as a naive prince struggles to find his way through a world torn between love and power, between virtue and corruption.

Students recreate music videos on stage. Dancers and singers from a variety of styles showcase their unique style and talents. They are critiqued by a panel of judges and the winner is chosen by the audience!

Join Outdoor Pursuits on a day hike through the Old Mans Cave region of Hocking Hills State Park.This area is scattered with a variety of geologic features, including waterfalls, sandstone cliffs and rock formations. A great afternoon to spend with your Sib this weekend!!!
Cost for this event is $15 per person.
Frame Your Sib!
Saturday, February 18 from 12:00 noon - 3:00pm , Kennedy Museum of Art, Lin Hall, The Ridges
Frame Your Sib at the Kennedy Museum of Art this Sibs Weekend.
Come in any time between 12:00 noon and 3:00pm and for only $5 you and your sib can be "framed" in a photographic memory of Sibs Weekend 2012.
Admission to the Kennedy Museum is FREE.

Sibs Weekend Zip Line
Sunday, February 19, 2012, 12:00 noon - 4:00pm , Outdoor Pursuits Challenge COurse, The Ridges
Head for the Ridges to catch some air on the Outdoor Pursuits zip line! We'll provide the equipment and instruction, you provide the excitement as you climb to the take-off platform and fly down a 300 foot zip line.
Cost for this event is $20 per person.
Symphonic Band and University Band Concert
